Why

Research has shown that STEM interest decreases as boys and girls get older and that 60% of 9th graders lose interest in STEM by high school graduation. The impact of innovation through the C2C program creates a pipeline to renew a love for STEM from Kindergarten through high school and beyond to the workplace.

How

In the C2C program, secondary school students will gain essential experience for competing in the present day workforce and enjoy the rewarding experience of delivering a fully functional ABii robot tutor to their K-5 peers.

Assembly > Testing > Inspection

Students will receive Van Robotics’ curriculum and ABii Robot Kits to assemble, inspect, and test ABii robots. Kits come with servo motors, electrical components, fasteners, wires, compute boards and ABii plastic hardware. Program curriculum comes with full digital and video guides to complete assembly, inspection and testing. Students will also receive instruction designed to illustrate what robots are, how they leverage sensing, how they collect data, and goal-setting to work in their environment.
